I sell affiliate products, have created my own products, and have built and run online stores. Although I honestly don’t consider this process to be super easy, almost anyone that has enough determination can do it. That said, most people don’t have enough determination. The hardest aspects of this business in my opinion are that you have to do the work way before you get paid. Most people aren’t willing to do this because we’re conditioned to trade time for money. When you run your own business it never works out that way. You work now and get paid later. The reason you run your own business is so that you can make more per hour but that’s not going to happen for a long time.
Another tough aspect of this business is learning how to create content that people will actually like and enjoy. That doesn’t happen from one day to the next. You have to learn how to write, and you have to learn how to write well. I have taken a lot of pride in the writing I’ve done over the last few years and honestly I have provided some very valuable insights to people that are trying to learn the process.
You also need to learn how to understand Google and that’s not an overnight process. They like to rank pages according to how good they are - as determined by community votes. To Google links are votes and better sites have more voting power. Since I can generally get sites to like the stuff I produce, I always tend to do well with Google, and that creates a great passive income.
The bottom line here guys is that you need to decide whether you will do whatever it takes to learn the business. If you truly have super-human determination I think you can probably make it.
